Gum Diseases (Periodontology)

Maintaining healthy teeth depends on their periodontal health (the condition of the tooth supporting apparatus – gum and bone). In the presence of an excessive amount of bacteria, it leads to its inflammatory and destructive disease called periodontitis. It starts with inflammation of the gum (gingivitis), the lack of treatment of which leads to the infection spreading and reaching the bone of the tooth (periodontitis). It results in melting of the bone, loosening of the teeth and their loss if not treated in time. This process is long and painless.
